A Journey Rooted in Tradition
Growing up surrounded by Puerto Rican traditions, I’ve always appreciated the beauty of the natural world and the knowledge passed down through generations.
From the familiar aroma of rosemary to the comforting traditions surrounding sábila (aloe vera), jengibre (ginger), and malagueta, botanicals have long held a special place in our heritage.
These ingredients represent more than plants. They connect us to our roots, our families, and the stories that deserve to be remembered.
Where Nature Meets Intention
De’Ka Creative Studios was born from my passion for creativity, the sense of peace and calm I discovered through creating botanical products, and my growing curiosity about the traditions and natural ingredients that have been part of our heritage for generations.
What began as a creative outlet gradually became something much more meaningful — a journey of learning, experimenting, reconnecting with my roots, and discovering the beauty of intentional self-care.
Through every creation, I find joy not only in the finished product but also in the process itself: researching ingredients, understanding their traditional uses, and transforming inspiration into something that can become part of someone’s everyday ritual.
Where It All Began — Esencia Guerrera
Every journey has a beginning, and for De’Ka, that beginning was Esencia Guerrera — Alcoholado de Malagueta.
Inspired by Puerto Rican botanical traditions, Esencia Guerrera represents the connection between the knowledge passed down through generations and my desire to preserve those traditions through my own creations.
What started with one heritage-inspired alcoholado gradually opened the door to exploring botanical hair care, facial care, body care, and personalized rituals.
Although our collections continue to grow, Esencia Guerrera will always hold a special place in the De’Ka story. It reminds me of where this journey began and why preserving our roots matters.
Crafted by Hand, Rooted in Purpose
Our small-batch creations are crafted by hand with attention to ingredients, purpose, and the experience each product brings.
From botanical hair care and facial rituals to body care and heritage-inspired creations, every product reflects our belief that self-care can be both simple and intentional.
For me, creating these products is more than combining ingredients. It is an opportunity to learn, express creativity, and bring together the traditions that inspire me with the care and intention I want each creation to represent.
